Healthy or Unhealthy

Healthy stress is what keeps us alert, engaged, motivated and sometimes keeps us aware of our surroundings. Stress becomes unhealthy when it is maintained over long periods of time without release. In that state the “fight or flight” response is activated and the person can feel overworked. This can cause people to become distressed which is physically and emotionally damaging to the body. This can cause an upset stomach, depression, headaches or anxiety.
