When people talk about relieving stress, yoga and tai chi generally come up. Why does this work for relieving stress? Well, these exercises work because they are combining physical movements with controlled breathing and meditation. This means that you are keeping your body and mind occupied while lowering your heart rate and calming down. All together that is going to allow you to think rationally and take a break from whatever is stressing you. So taking time to do a few yoga poses can help you when your stressed.
